After promoting Kelly Rowland’s new album, Here I Am, during a recent stop at “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon,” pop star Beyoncé continued to share words of support for her former Destiny’s Child bandmate during a recent episode of “Access Hollywood,” even bringing Rowland to tears.
While Rowland was being interviewed by the show’s hosts, Billy Bush and actress Tisha Campbell-Martin, last Friday, July 29, the “Motivation” singer was surprised with a special pre-taped video message from Beyoncé, who congratulated her on the release of her album.
“My Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, I love you so much. I’m so proud of you, your album is incredible. I’m so happy I just got to see you in Paris, I mean London, we had so much fun. I’m very proud of you and all of your success, you’re such a beautiful woman and I can’t wait to see you again,” said Beyoncé.
Visibly fighting back tears, Rowland shared that she and her former band mates still spend time with each other, though usually not as a full trio, like at Rowland’s recent album release party in New York City.
“It’s just so great, the fact of our bond that we have … I love my sisters,” gushed a teary-eyed Rowland.
The Destiny’s Child girls may still have yet to discuss a future reunion, but it’s quite nice to see that their bond is still strong all of these years after their split. –nicholas robinson
