Former Kid ‘N Play rapKid From Kid 'N Play Released From Jail, Says Arrest a 'Clerical Error'

per Christopher “Kid” Reid made headlines earlier this week after being arrested in Los Angeles on Aug. 9. And after spending a day behind bars, Reid was officially released from jail yesterday afternoon and is now saying that his arrest was all a big mistake by the LAPD.

Earlier reports claimed that Reid was arrested for failing to show up in court for DUI charges stemming from a 2010 arrest. However, Reid is now refuting the reports and claiming that his arrest was due to a “clerical error.”

“It was all just a clerical error,” explained a newly free Reid to TMZ, as they videotaped his release. Reid also added that his missed court date simply “fell through the cracks.”

As cameras continued to roll on the rather pleasant, but uninterested Reid, he shared that he will be appearing at his future court dates and said that despite his recent arrest, he still has love and respect for the LAPD.

“I love L.A. Peace to the Po-Po,” said Reid, before driving off.

For Reid’s sake, let’s just hope that no more clerical errors occur and that he’s able to show up in court the next time he’s supposed to. –nicholas robinson
