Hundreds of fashion lovers came out to support the 19th Annual Jeffrey Cares Fashion Show last night, held in Atlanta. This year, they welcomed back American designer Jason Wu, who designed Michelle Obama’s inaugural gown. The show’s founder Jeffrey McQuithy along with chairs Lila Hertz and Louise Sams looked very stylish and very eager to get the show started. Funds that were raised from ticket sales and the live/silent auction benefited Aid Atlanta and Susan G Komen.

As I worked the room, I saw scores of  well dressed attendees sipping  cocktails, mingling and nibbling on the great hors doeuvres. There were performances with dancers, photos being snapped, great music playing and people bidding on auction items throughout the high rise building overlooking downtown Atlanta.

I headed back stage to see what the models were up to. The look for the runway was pulled back hair in ponytails and very simple makeup with a deep red lip.

The designer labels I spotted were from Balenciaga, YSL, Jimmy Choo,Valentino, Prada, Burberry, Christian Louboutin and so many more! The shoes were to die for! I got a chance to speak to designer Jason Wu and asked him what brought him back to Atlanta to do another show with Jeffrey Cares. He told me that he was ecstatic to be apart of the show again, after being here in 2009. He explained that it was a great event for a good cause and that Jeffrey was a great mentor to him. I also asked him what can we expect from his collection for 2012 and he said, “something different and exciting.”

And then we all took our seats and the show began. First they did the live auction where some items sold for as much as $6,000. I loved the Christian Louboutin picture, it was really pretty and would have looked great in my office! After the live auction, the fashion show began. Fall looks included lots of hats, leather jackets, blazers, tall boots and separates. My favorites were the evening gowns, simply gorgeous! I had a great time as usual and I would like to thank Caren West Pr for the personal invite,I had a Pinktastic time! Enjoy the pics!
