Model Discusses Her Preparation for BIGEN Model Call
Jasmine Brents, BIGEN model

Recently Hoyu America held a model call to search for talented young women to represent their BIGEN line of products, at the mid-summer Bronner Brothers hair show. We were fortunate enough to speak with a few of them to find out how they prepare for model calls.

Jasmine Brents:

1. What does it take to prepare for a model call? It takes a positive state of mind, and you must prepare to be your best in your look and your character. Have photos ready for the client that is holding the audition.
2. Have you ever had formal training to prepare e.g., classes, seminars, school, etc…? Yes, I attended John Robert Powers School of modeling in Indianapolis, Ind., and I currently take, as well as teach, classes at About Faces Models and Talent.

3. What do you think is your best asset? My best asset is my smile, my posture is second and finally my personal character helps tremendously. You always have to stay in the right frame of mind in this business.

4. What are the key qualities a model should have? A model should always have a good attitude. Never go to a model call thinking that you are better than everyone else, there is always someone better than you.

5. What are some techniques you do to practice your walk? Since I walk everyday, I practice my model walk everywhere I walk. It has become my natural walk, so it’s not hard for me to walk like a model at auditions.

6. Who is your supermodel role model? My supermodel role model is Tyra Banks, because she has evolved into much more than just a model. She also has always carried herself in a positive way in modeling and other life situations.
