How did you get started in the beauty business?
Around the age of 12, I recognized the love I had for hair, brushes, combs, etc. In the late 70’s I moved from Lake Charles, La to Houston while being mentored by the late J.H. & Mrs. Abbey Jemison owners of the legendary Franklin Beauty School.
Salons have a reputation for being unique. What makes Raimon’s Salon de Beaute’ unique?
Raimon Salon De Beaute is a family owned and operated one stop shop hair care facility with over 12,000 square feet that accommodates 40 individual suites. Brashae’s Beauty Supply services professional stylists and barbers along with the retail customers. We partner with the hair care companies for product launches and we host monthly educational instructions on-site for the professional stylists.
With the phenomenon of black women growing out of their relaxers, where do you stand on the issue?
Raimon’s embraces the natural hair phenomenon. Because there are so many textures, we offer a multi-cultural line of products for all types and textures of natural hair while growing out relaxed hair.
Outside of being able to create great looks, what should clients expect from their salon and personal hair stylist?
Clients should expect professionalism, knowledge about their individual head of hair, cleanliness and a place that they are comfortable with and are eager to re-visit.

We think of all our product lines as special. What projects do you have in the works that we should be aware of?
Throughout the month of September we will be hosting Happy Hair Mondays which will allow guests to test and sample natural hair care products from various manufacturers.
