There will likely not be an NBA season in 2011-12. The players decided to reject an offer that the owners put on the table several days ago. The proposal included a 50-50 split between players and owners and would have saved the NBA season.

However, the players will disband the union and sue the NBA over the lockout. The court proceedings could take months. The NBA could suffer for years to come. Here are five reasons the NBA will never be a great league again. –amir shaw
