Rep. Lewis shares tips for federal job seekers at talk

1. Taper your résumé to the job you are applying for. One of the most common mistakes that applicants make is that their résumés are very generic or nonspecific. And when, as Blakelock says, they receive between 500 and 5,000 applications on the regular basis, a generic résumé is easily and immediately discarded.
