Floyd Mayweather Defeats Victor Ortiz: Sucker Punch or Fair Game?
Floyd Mayweather made more enemies after knocking out Victor Ortiz in a controversial championship boxing match. During the bout, Ortiz headbutted Mayweather which led referee Joe Cortez to stop the fight momentarily. Cortez eventually signaled for the two men to fight and Ortiz attempted to touch gloves with Mayweather. Without losing focus, Mayweather touched Ortiz gloves and quickly hit him with a crushing right. Ortiz never recovered. Some called it a sucker punch and others referred to the first rule in boxing, which is to “Protect yourself at all times.”
