The newest and fifth movie in the Madea franchise opened with $25,068,677 on its opening weekend, ranking #2 at the box office behind Rio. The movie featured some new faces as well as some of the familiar cast, David and Tamela Mann, Shad “Bow wow” Moss, Lauren London, Loretta Devine, Isaiah Mustafa, Teyana Taylor, and Maury Povich.
