'Joyful Noise' Screening in Washington, D.C., Excites, Inspires

“I know that the movie is called Joyful Noise, but I think that describes what we made tonight … we truly made a joyful noise together in this place, watching this amazing film.”

As the words left gospel singer Byron Cage’s mouth, shortly after the Joyful Noise film screening, you could feel the sincerity in his voice. For Cage and the 300 attendees who packed into the Washington, D.C.’s Regal Gallery theater, this was more than just a typical moviegoing experience. Radio and television personality Jawn Murray confirmed that sentiment. “You know, there are a lot of faith-based films where I go and I immediately want my two hours back after watching it. But this wasn’t like that. It was a very pleasant surprise, and one that I would recommend to any and everyone. “

What remains to be seen is if this enthusiasm can carry into the opening week box-office totals.
