According to the Miami New Times, Wayne is allegedly the “famous rapper” mentioned in a fight involving Bryant that occurred outside Miami hotel Fontainebleau’s club LIV on the evening of Jan. 15. The fight allegedly started over someone mocking Bryant over a subpar season and his growing financial problems, which includes a $100,000 lawsuit from Endurance Capital Fund over an unpaid loan.
Bryant’s mentor, David Wells, claims that the wide receiver wasn’t arrested in the incident and the Miami Beach Police Department have no record of Bryant being detained, saying that there was a melee outside the club involving a drunk patron striking a security guard.
Despite concrete evidence pinning either Bryant or Wayne to the fight, The Miami Herald reports that a source for the MBPD says that Wayne and his entourage were involved in the scuffle involving the two parties.
