Though Rihanna has recently been linked to Chris Brown, the singer was spotted leaving Ashton Kutcher’s house late one evening last week and rumors are now spreading that the two have been secretly dating for months and that Rihanna is giving up her religion for him.
According to the U.K.’s The Sun, Rihanna and Kutcher met at a friend’s house party in December and have been dating for two months and have had a series of secret late-night rendezvous after she returned to L.A. to record her new album. A source also claimed that Rihanna has been trying to convince Kutcher to spend the summer with her in Britain.
“The flirting began as soon as Rihanna and Ashton met and swapped numbers. That moved on to texts and arranging to meet. They snuck off to a Santa Monica hotel a few weeks ago,” said a source. “They are two single people having a fling, so thought it would be best to meet in secret.”
Another reason for their secrecy is Kutcher’s ex, Demi Moore. The actress recently checked into rehab for reports of drug addictions, exhaustion and an eating disorder and according to the source, Kutcher doesn’t want to upset her with his new fling.
“Ashton does not want to rub a new relationship in her face. She’s still vulnerable,” said the source. “He’s a good guy and, with all Demi’s recent health problems, people have forgotten that.”
Though Rihanna and Kutcher aren’t that serious yet, the source claims that Rihanna has been inquiring about Kutcher’s faith in the mystic religion of Kabbalah, and is allegedly interested in switching to the religion.
“Rihanna has told friends he’s funny and cute. Both of them love a good time and think they’re too busy for anything serious just yet,” said a source. “She’s starting to enquire about Kabbalah sessions with his rabbi.”
“Rihanna does not go to church any more because she’s simply too busy. She respects the religion enormously, though,” the source said of Rihanna, who comes from a strict Christian family. “She is curious about Kabbalah so has started asking questions. She’s open to new things and has always been a very spiritual girl. If she and Ashton are getting really close, she wants to be able to understand it.”
Well, if the rumors are true, it looks like Chris Brown may be out of the picture for Rihanna and maybe her religion will be out of the picture too. But Rihanna wouldn’t be the first artist to switch over to Kabbalah. Check out a list of other Kabbalah devotees below. –nicholas robinson
