Not sure if you’ve noticed, but Americans are diversifying in more areas than simply on the job. Interracial marriages in the U.S. have climbed to 4.8 million, meaning 1 in 12 marriages. Blacks are now substantially more likely than before to marry whites.
The Pew Research Center recently released a study that finds that 8.4 percent of all current U.S. marriages are interracial unions, up from 3.8 percent in 1980. More than 15 percent of new marriages in 2010 were interracial.
