Lottery Winners Who Lost It All

Lottery Winners Who Lost It All

In 1988, William “Bud” Post won Pennsylvania’s $16.2 million jackpot, reports the local media in Bever, Pa. But this one is an example of a bad life gone worse after getting stacks of C-notes.

An ex-girlfriend actually sued Post for some of the winnings and won. Go figure that one. But much worse — much, much worse — is the pathetic fact that Post’s brother hired a hit man hoping to inherit some winnings. And relatives, being typical relatives, incessantly bugged him for money, MSN reports.

Within a year, Post was $1 million in debt and filing for bankruptcy. I guess Antoine Walker, the former Boston Celtic star, could have learned something from Post when Walker squander every penny of the combined $100 million he earned during his NBA career and is now millions in debt.

Today, Post lives on food stamps and a $450-a-month stipend. Ugh!
