This list is informative data about the states that have the highest numbers of black men who sleep with men but do not consider themselves gay.
The data used to compile this list is culled from The Williams Institute’s study, Statewide Estimation of Racial/Ethnic Populations of Men Who Have Sex with Men in the U.S.
This list is important, because, according to the authors of the study:
“Men who have sex with men (MSM) bear the greatest burden of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)/acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS) in every state in the U.S., but their populations are poorly defined.”
The authors of the study estimated and compared the population of men who have sex with men by region, state and race; this is a list, by region, of black men who have sex with men.
