Political prisoner Mumia Abu Jamal recently lost his appeal in the 1981 case in which he was convicted of killing a cop. Although forensic evidence was mishandled, Abu Jamal remains in prison. However, notorious mass murderer Charles Manson will have a parole hearing this week.
