4. Former Chicago Police Officer Sentenced to 40 Years After Being Shot 28 Times By Police

Howard Morgan, a former police officer, was shot 28 times in 2005 after being pulled over by police in Chicago. Although no gun residue was found on Morgan’s hands,  he was sentenced to 40 years in prison after being charged with attempted murder.
