Festival season is underway. And staying true to its designation as Los Angeles’ best Mother’s Day event, PIPS presents its 9th Annual Mother’s Day Jazz and Blues Extravaganza on Sunday, May 13, 2012. It’s a Sunday afternoon activity for the entire family. Bring your picnic basket and wear your most comfy sandals because this party doesn’t stop.
One concertgoer shares, “Everyone in my party of 10 enjoyed the show, especially mama. We [had] brunch earlier and she complained of back, shoulder and neck pain. But as soon as the first band came on [stage], she was out of her seat dancing. Everybody was cheering her on with ‘Go mama, go mama go!’ I wonder where her pain went. That’s the beauty of music therapy.”
The party starts at 3 p.m. at John Anson Ford Amphitheatre. There are no bad seats in the house. You’re guaranteed to be no more than 96 feet from the stage. The party won’t start until you walk in, hope to see you there.
