‘The Voice’ Recap: Mathai and Cheesa Say Goodbye

'The Voice' Recap: Mathai and Cheesa Say Goodbye

Now that the outrage after last week’s eliminations has died down, everything can proceed as expected on “The Voice” this week.

On Tuesday’s episode, Mathai sang “Cowboy Casanova” for her last chance performance, but Katrina Parker owned the competition, singing a soulful rendition of “Perfect.”

“This really boils down to who I’ve seen the most from so far,” team coach Adam Levine said, mentioning Katrina’s growth as one of the reasons he chose to save the singer.

Cheesa tried to stave off elimination with a passionate rendition of “Already Gone.”

In the end, backed by a chorus of enthusiastic yelps from the audience, Cee Lo chose to save Simms, saying “I cannot argue with America and the support that they’ve given Juliet.”

All four teams are now whittled down to just two singers  and are ready to duke it out for the “The Voice” title.

Team Blake: Erin Willett, Jermaine Paul
Team Christina: Chris Mann, Lindsey Pavao
Team Cee Lo: Jamar Rogers, Juliet Simms
Team Adam: Tony Lucca, Katrina Parker
