As I walked into Harvard, I asked myself, ‘Have things really changed since the riots?’ The 1992 LA riots are known as the worst civil disturbance in the 20th century. Fast forward 20 years and things have not changed. No matter what we achieve, America still has a negative image of us before we walk through the door.”
