After taking a television hiatus, Keyshia Cole is set to return to TV screens later this year. BET announced today that the singer and mother will star in a new reality TV series, “Keyshia Cole: Family First.” The new series is said to give a candid look at the R&B songstress as she balances being a loving wife to NBA star Daniel Gibson, a good mother to her 2-year-old son D.J., as well as a daughter, sister, musician and businesswoman.
Leaving behind her tumultuous relationship with her mom and sister, Frankie and Neffe, the singer is said to be on a journey to find herself. The show will follow Cole as she works on a new album and reportedly renews her vows with her husband. “Keyshia Cole Family First” is executive produced by James DuBose of DuBose Entertainment. Michele Barnwell, Keyshia and her husband Daniel Gibson also serve as EPs. A release date has yet to be revealed.
