Don Thompson, McDonald’s COO and president, told of the rewards that the Mcdonald’s Corporation has reaped thanks to the combined integration of innovation, technology, and diversity, during his keynote address at the Chicago Urban League’s annual summit and luncheon held at the Hyatt Regency Chicago on May 3.
This year’s summit theme, Empowerment Through Innovation: Thinking Beyond The Box — presented a blueprint that focused on finding success through innovation. During his address, Thompson illustrated how McDonald’s and its network of owner operators have remained industry leaders by investing in technology, and, in turn, empowering the communities they serve.
Don’t expect McDonald’s to slow down anytime soon with Thompson at the helm: “For a company with a global footprint,” he said, “we know that we have to continue to keep relevancy around the world.”
