Royce’s Father Meets Dezmon
After their heated argument, Royce sets up a meeting between her father and her boyfriend, Dezmon, so that Robert can finally understand why she’s happy. However, things get off to a rocky start when Robert tells Dezmon that he thinks his daughter is “needy” and Dezmon partially agrees. Royce immediately shuts down emotionally and explains that she’s going back to being her old self, which is apparently “just about me.” After Royce walks off, Dezmon finds her and the two argue about their communication in their relationship. Dezmon claims that Royce becomes overly emotional when he voices a problem and Royce claims that Dezmon doesn’t understand the amount of effort she’s putting into their relationship.
