Terrell Owen was featured as a guest on the latest episode of “Dr. Phil” along with three women (Kimber, Melanie and Monique) who gave birth to his kids.
During the one hour episode, Owens was picked apart by each woman who spoke about the issues of Owens being an absent father and falling behind on child support.
Owens currently pays nearly $50,000 for four kids and hopes to get support reduced due to his lack of income.
Kimber claimed that Owens had only seen their 7-year-old daughter 12 times since she was born. She also said that Owens doesn’t call and never sends Christmas gifts because he believes paying child support should be enough.
Owens responded by alluding to his hectic schedule and Kimber’s unwillingness to to allow him to see their child.
Melanie says that Owens hasn’t seen their child in over a year and rarely calls. Monique believes that Owens uses their son for publicity.
Dr. Phil ended the show by encouraging Owens to develop a good relationship with all of his kids. He also told each baby mother to not block Owens’ attempt to develop a relationship with his kids.
Along with Owens sad fall from grace, the show was a cautionary tale of what can transpire when having unprotected sex out of wedlock.–amir shaw
