Sanders Ordered to Pay Estranged Wife, Pilar

In the ongoing court battle between Pilar and Deion Sanders, a Texas judge has outlined hefty new payments in favor of the Hall of Famer’s wife. On Tuesday, May 15 the couple faced off in a Collin County courtroom where a visitation schedule was finalized for their three children. As previously reported, temporary custody rights were granted to Deion and a temporary restraining order was put in place ordering his wife to stay at least 500 yards from his Dallas mansion.

In Tuesday’s hearing, Sanders was order to pay $10,500 a month in child support and $3,500 for the mortgage on the model-actress’s Celina, Texas, home. Additionally the ex-NFLer will have to dish out a whopping $275,000 to cover his estranged wife’s attorney fees. Pilar Sanders got a much lighter court order; she was asked to return items she took from Sanders’ home while he was at the recent Super Bowl XLVI game. A full custody hearing is still scheduled for later this month.

Tuesday’s courtroom showdown is just the latest of nasty exchanges in the divorce proceedings being played out in the public eye. In a recent interview with “Good Morning America,” Pilar slammed “Primetime” and called him desperate for attention and irrelevant.

“I just can’t believe to what extent he’s willing to go just to get attention from the media,” said Pilar. “He’s a legend and he’ll always be a legend in what he’s accomplished on the field, but he’s just not relevant to today’s world.  I think he just wanted and needed the media attention for him to continue to do what he does, which is sell himself,” she said.  “No real man would act in such a way.”

Pilar was arrested April 23 after Sanders reported that she assaulted him in front of their children. A friend of the actress has since spoken out and claimed that Sanders assaulted Pilar with a concrete statue.  –danielle canada
