Dangerous Curves Ahead is not your typical fashion show.
You’d never guess that the stylish and genteel Tamika Price used to be homeless. She is the founder of A-Line Style Services, a wardrobe consulting and personal shopping business in Chicago. The company supports the community by asking its clients to donate used clothing to A-Line Foundation, which gives makeovers to women in need.
Price recalls the experience of living in so-called roach motels because the shelters couldn’t or wouldn’t accommodate her large family “and our mother was not going to split us up,” she tells rolling out.
Today, Price has taken that experience and turned it into something far bigger than herself, a movement designed to uplift women who have suffered a similar plight.
