Shonda Rhimes, 'Scandal' Creator: The Black Millionaire Blueprint

After college, she relocated to San Francisco with an older sibling and started off in advertising. But the yearning to make movies and shows was too strong so Rhimes would later relocate to Los Angeles to attend the renowned University of Southern California’s School of Cinema-Teleivsion to study screenwriting. Rhimes was ranked at the top of her class and earned the prestigious Gary Rosenberg Writing Fellowship Award and also pocketed a master’s of fine arts.
