The Rock Sells Mega-Mansion

While some celebs are struggling to make a profit off the sales of their massive, opulent, homes one superstar wrestler turned thespian is enjoying the sweet taste of success. According to TMZ,  Dwayne ‘The Rock‘ Johnson  has sold his L.A. mansion for close to its $4.9 million asking price.

The Rock’s mega-mansion boasts 9,120 square feet, 6 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms, an infinity pool and a home theater. Located 22 miles from Hollywood, the home will soon belong to an obviously very successful yet unnamed businessman.

While The Rock’s nearly $5 million sale seems favorable, it pales in comparison to that of Ellen Degeneres who recently made headlines for selling her Hollywood home to Ryan Seacrest. As previously reported, Degeneres sold her 9,200 square-foot home with three guest houses and  2.87 acres for $49 million to the E! News host. The home was once owned by Laurence Harvey, Joan Collins and Will & Grace co-creator Max Mutchnick.
