Durant:  Most points in NBA All Star Weekend (46 points).  Youngest player ever to win the NBA scoring title.  Durant was the first freshman to win the consensus 2007 National College Player of the Year and the 2006–2007 Big 12 Player of the Year.  Durant’s jersey is now one of nine retired by the University of Texas.  In 2007, Durant signed a seven-year, $60 million endorsement deal with Nike (second only to James).


James:   Youngest to record a triple-double: 27 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists (20 years, 20 days).  Also, amongst numerous other honors youngest to score 2,000 points in seven consecutive seasons.  One of three players in NBA history to average at least 30 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists in a season.  In 2003, James signed a seven-year, $90 million endorsement with Nike.
