Birdman Defends Drake After Brawl With Chris Brown

After a bloody nightclub brawl with Chris Brown last week, Drake has gone from highly-sought-after rapper to possible wanted criminal. And with the world now watching his every move, Drake recently hit the stage in Wantagh, Long Island and (kind of) addressed his current media scandal.

After sets from his fellow “Club Paradise” tour compatriots, Meek Mill (who was allegedly also a part of the brawl), Waka Flocka Flame, J. Cole, 2 Chainz and French Montana, Drake took the stage at Nikon at Jones Beach Theater and alluded to the violent brawl at NYC’s W.i.P nightclub.

“When I woke up this morning, I had to think about a lot of things,” he told the crowd of 15,000. “But the only thing I gave a f**k about was that I was in New York City tonight.”

However, Drizzy wasn’t oblivious to the drama playing out around him. The star reportedly beefed up security for his show, and later on his set, Drake once again addressed the bottle-throwing fiasco, providing what could be considered a brief description of how the brawl came to be.

“You were having a good night so far, you done had a couple drinks, you done met a couple thangs, and then the ni**a in the corner start looking at you funny and you feel a mother—-in’ way about it. And then somebody going to the bathroom bumps you with their elbow and you like, ‘What the f–k?’ At that time in my life, there’s really only one ni—a that I wanna hear,” said the Young Money rapper, before Waka Flocka joined him for “Round of Applause.”

Shortly after the brawl, Drake’s camp released a statement, claiming that Drake had nothing to do with the fight and that he was leaving the club when it happened. And last week, Drake’ Cash Money boss, Birdman, came to Drizzy’s defense, claiming he was innocent of any wrongdoing.

“To me, Drizzy ain’t did nothin’ wrong, he ain’t done nothin’ wrong to nobody. He just doin’ great music,” said Birdman to” MTV News.” “He’s not a reckless guy out there just wildin’ out; he’s a humble kid makin’ great music.”

Well, this isn’t the first time a star has been involved in a club fight. Check out some other famous bar brawls below. –nicholas robinson
