The Super Life Transformation Graduation Ceremony took place during the Essence Music Festival held in New Orleans.
Multi-Grammy winner Chaka Khan (Chaka Khan Foundation), Marquett Smith, Verizon’s vice president of corporate communications; Constance White, editor-in-chief of Essence, and Dr. Denese Shrevington, co-founder and president of the Institute of Women and Ethnic Studies, were on hand to congratulate the 2012 graduates. The Super Life Transformation class was established by Khan to help women affected by Hurricane Katrina.
