Eddie Murphy Dead Rumors Strike Again

An all too common death rumor is once again plaguing a famed black comedian. Eddie Murphy, 51, is alive and well this morning despite rumors that he passed away in a snowboarding accident. A website known for spinning fake celeb stories is reportedly to blame and previously reported that Charlie Sheen, Will Smith, Tiger Woods and Jon Bon Jovi had all passed away as well. According to the site, Murphy was vacationing in Zermatt, Switzerland with his family and smashed into a tree while snowboarding. Rumors of Murphy’s demise have surfaced at least four times previously, most recently last October when the hoax sparked widespread confusion on Twitter.

Murphy was most recently seen in Los Angeles at the 2012 BET Awards with his new girlfriend Rocsi Diaz.
