Mo’Nique has always represented proudly for curvy women, but now Mo’Nique is working on being a healthy woman with curves. The entertainer recently began upping her fitness routine to get in better shape, and over the past week she released some new workout photos of her slimmed down frame.
Mo’Nique began her weight-loss routine back in 2010, when she announced to her now-defunct “The Mo’Nique Show” audience that she wanted to get down to 180 pounds; she was 262 at the time.
Last year, Mo’Nique revealed her workout regimen to Black Voices, sharing several helpful details about her weight-loss plan.
“Well, at least five times a week, Mo’Nique is up at 5:30 a.m. getting it in at the gym. She works for an hour with a trainer who keeps the routines exciting by having the comedienne do everything from weight training, boxing, and football drills to sprinting, pull-ups on the dip bar and, on warm days, jogging outdoors. Her workouts have increased in intensity and frequency over time, with her starting out with three times a week two years ago,” Mo’Nique revealed to the site.
Well, congratulations to Mo’Nique on not only slimming down to her desired weight, but working hard to be a healthy person.
