Why did you take the role in Torn?
The opportunity to be a part of a movie production in any way, how could I say no?
Did you have any particular mentors or inspirations as a young actor?
Mel Jackson. Being around him on set, I watch how he interacts with other actors coaching them and offering his advice. This means a lot to me because he believes in us and he has success in the business. Also, I met Rob Hardy on the set of Vampire Diaries and he gave me advice on how to pursue my career, which helps me to this day.
Moment you knew you wanted to perform for a living:
Freshman year of college. I was watching a movie at home and I really wanted to switch lives with the characters in the movie. So I signed up for two acting classes immediately after that.

Denzel Washington, Will Smith, Leonardo DiCaprio and Mel Jackson.
What drew you to the 11Eleven11 Project as a director?
Sharon Tomlinson. She talked to me about the project and I trusted her. I’m glad I did because she continues to offer everyone involved opportunities to learn and grow together working on our passion.
What do you hope viewers walk away with after seeing Crossroads?
I hope the viewers realize that family is where it starts. Your family will always have your back in any situation.

Spike Lee, Quentin Tarantino, Denzel Washington, Mel Jackson, Tyler Perry, Howard Gibson, Rob Hardy and Will Parker
