California girls have perfected the no-makeup look — a fresh face that is dewy in some areas, bronzed in others, and completely fools the world into believing that perfection is in your genes.
Celebrity makeup artist Ashunta Sheriff appeared recently at the CoverGirl Queen Collection Touch Up Beauty Bar (during the My Black is Beautiful exhibit at the Essence Music Festival) to teach attendees her method of achieving that flawless Hollywood look. Sheriff has been a makeup artist for 16 years, “If there’s a woman of color in Hollywood, I’ve pretty much touched their face,” she jokes. “That includes the Queen herself, Queen Latifah.”
