With a previous hosting gig already under his belt, a famed comedian is taking on new duties at this year’s 2012 VMAs. Kevin Hart, 32, of Laugh At My Pain fame, will host MTV’s annual Video Music Awards Thursday, Sept. 6 at L.A.’s Staples Center.
Already on the promo trail, Hart is starring in a commercial with Kim Kardashian and Kanye West or ‘Kimye’ as they’ve been dubbed by the media. In it, Hart plays off the pair’s popularity and suggests that the three of them become a super couple known as ‘KEVKIMYE. Hart then suggests that the trio go by KKK for short and asks the Kardashian if she has a white hoodie on hand. Funny or too far?
Before being announced as this year’s VMAs host, Hart hosted the 2011 BET Awards. Peformers for this year’s ceremony will include Alicia Keys and P!nk.
