5. Lawrence Phillips was a running back that played in the NFL from 1996 – 1997 and again in 1999. Phillips played for the St. Louis Rams, San Francisco 49ers and Miami Dolphins.
Phillips is serving 26 years in jail before he is eligible for parole; his crimes include assaulting his girlfriend running over three teens, and too many domestic abuse incidents to list here.
