Karlie Redd Discusses Her Alleged Daughter
Late Tuesday, Aug. 28, a picture began circulating online of a teenaged girl believed to be the daughter of “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” star Karlie Redd. The girl in the photograph whose name is still unknown, was said to be of college age and attending an HBCU paid for her by her 47-year-old mother. Since the story broke on the celebrity website MouthToEars and later Bossip.com, Redd’s taken to Twitter to clear the air. “Bossip exploited this girl and said she is my daughter! For a fake story,” wrote Redd. “This is not my daughter!”
Redd later expounded on the issue with Chicago’s ‘The Morning Riot’ radio show and explained that she’s kept her child’s identity under wraps for a reason.”The show is a huge show,” said Redd. “I do not want my child being teased in school.” She later added that the aforementioned websites got it wrong. “On Bossip they had some little girl as my daughter. The litter hit me on Twitter and was like, ‘why are they doing this to me?’ You guys are exploiting some little girl as my child.” She still did not reveal her true age. It should be noted however that in July she told 93.9 WKYS that she was in her 20s.
In addition to speaking on the rumors surrounding her age and her daughter, Redd dished on her relationship with her cast mate Benzino. Benzino, an editor of HipHopWeekly magazine, previously confirmed that he and Redd were dating long before their alleged first meeting on the show. According to Redd however, their love life was less than favorable and she at one time caught him redhanded with another woman. “Benzino was cheating on me since day one,” said Redd. […] “I caught him at his house. I opened up the door and there was a girl naked in his room.”
Redd also denied claims that she said she was signed to Cash Money Records, even though she was clearly videotaped claiming her affiliation with the label on the show. Not mentioned however was Katt Williams. Rumors are circulating that the rapper’s child is actually fathered by the comedian.
