Prince announced his announced “Welcome 2 Chicago” residency at the United Center on Tuesday, tickets will go on sale Sept. 6. The Royal One will be in concert beginning Sept. 24.
“Welcome 2 Chicago” will benefit Rebuild The Dream, a “movement for a sustainable economy, more jobs, accountability for Wall Street, fair share taxes for corporations — and an America that delivers on its promise of opportunity for all” founded by Van Jones, a former adviser to President Obama.
The last time Prince was in Chicago was for the Musicology tour in 2004.
