Vh1 was once a sinking music channel before they decided to shift gears to dramatic reality TV shows “Celebrity Rehab,” “Flavor of Love” and “I Love New York,” all of which featured troubled and outrageous black celebrities. Now the network is home to hyper-dramatic shows like “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” and “Basketball Wives,” which have all come under fire for showcasing violent, hyper-sexualized black men and women.
