Shonda Rhimes and Issa Rae Join Forces
According to Deadline, Shondaland, the production company run by “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Scandal” creator Shonda Rhimes, is teaming up with “Awkward Black Girl” creator Issa Rae to produce a new half-hour sitcom, “I Hate LA Dudes,” for ABC. Rae will write and co-produce the comedy, which will center on a “an aspiring journalist, new to Los Angeles, who becomes the lone female voice on a budding, male-driven Internet talk show, while learning to decode the often humiliating and exasperating rules of the LA dating scene.”
