NBC “Today” show commentator Star Jones apparently insulted the usually laid-back Anderson Cooper with unfounded comments about his coming out. Jones, 50, alleges that Cooper, 45, announced he was gay in July to gain publicity.
While chatting on his show, “Anderson Live,” with his friend Andy Cohen, an executive with Bravo Network, Cooper said that Jones’ accusation couldn’t be further from the truth.
“Star Jones of all people, I haven’t thought about Star Jones in I don’t know how long. I was unaware she was even on TV still but apparently …,” he said.
He goes on to remind viewers about Jones’ splashy and over-the-top wedding.
