Malia Obama, 14, is a tennis star. The first daughter takes after her parents who are both avid sports fans. A high school freshman at Sidwell Friends, she currently holds the tennis team’s best record this season. Malia and her tennis doubles partner Mica Williams have won 8 out of 10 matches. Headed to the big leagues, it’s her turn to serve. The team’s coach tells reporters there’s a good chance Malia will be good enough to play in college.
Tennis superstar Serena Williams can surely reach out to the young star for a few practice matches since she’s already played against the first lady in a kid-sized doubles match during the 2011 U.S. Open.
