President Obama Discusses Nicki Minaj-Mariah Carey Feud

President Obama, preparing for his comeback debate with GOP challenger Mitt Romney, took a few seconds to weigh in on another widely-talked about debate: the one between “American Idol” judges Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey.

As part of a get-out-the-vote call to Miami DJ Michael Yo’s “The Yo! Show” on Friday, Obama was confronted with “the elephant in the room.” Can he bring the ladies back together?

Carey and Minaj, of course, received massive media attention for their obscenity-laced exchange during the audition phase of “A.I.” in Charlotte in September.President Obama Discusses Nicki Minaj-Mariah Carey Feud

“I think that they are going to be able to sort it out, I am confident,” Obama said. “I’m all about bringing people together, working for the same cause. I think both outstanding artists are going to be able to make sure that they’re moving forward and not going backwards.”

Obama then noted that Carey and husband Nick Cannon have been guests of the White House because she played some gigs for the first family. Nicki, well, she’s on the ‘first iPod.’

Other topics discussed during the laugh-filled interview; Joe Biden’s hair, Obama’s first job and keeping Sasha and Malia out of trouble — plus some tax, immigration, healthcare and clean-energy mentions.
