Reality star Tamar Braxton Herbert’s father is a retired Methodist minister. When Michael Conrad Braxton, Sr. was a preacher, his daughters sang in his choir. Prior to becoming a member of the United Methodist Church, Braxton was an Apostolic (Pentecostal) minister. Tamar and sisters (Toni, Traci, Towanda and Trina) weren’t allowed to wear pants, sandals or makeup, have boyfriends and listen to mainstream music due to the strict rules of their faith.
