LAS VEGAS – Boris Kodjoe, Soledad O’Brien of CNN and rapper David Banner were among the celebrities who helped founder Tiffany R. Warren celebrate the sixth annual AdColor Awards and Industry Conference, an elaborate soiree that illuminated advertising excellence in the minority community.
Located inside the ostentatious Bellegio Casino and Resort on Vegas’ famous Strip, the AdColor Awards and Industry Conference was created to “celebrate and champion diversity in the advertising, marketing, media and public relations industries,” says Warren. “AdColor strives to create a network of outstanding diverse professionals and champions of diversity and inclusion by honoring their accomplishments and leveraging their stories as a road map for others to follow.”
Soledad O’Brien, the host of CNN’s “Starting Point” who has hosted the AdColor Awards during its first five years when the celebrations were held in places like South Beach, Phoenix and Beverly Hills, was honored with the The CATALYST presented by Draftfcb.
Boris Kodjoe, a conscious actor, philanthropist and entrepreneur was honored with the 2012 ADCOLOR All-Star Award presented by Omnicom Group. Past All-Star Award recipients include influential members in multicultural society like: Actor-comedian George Lopez, television host Cristina Saralegui, activist, entrepreneur and “Father of Hip-Hop,” Russell Simmons, businessman and former NBA champion Earvin “Magic” Johnson and Queen Latifah, multiplatinum recording artist and award-winning actress.
