Since OWN’s ratings are better these days, it’s been reported that Oprah is spreading her wings even further. She is now in talks with HBO to develop a new family drama for the cable network. The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that the project is about the first black president of an influential college. Only thing is, behind closed doors there is lots of family drama. They struggle with many dilemmas and issues, sounds interesting. The hour-long drama series will be produced by Oprah and Harpo executive, Kate Forte. Black playwrite Thomas Bradshaw will write the script. Congrats on her new venture!
