Who doesn’t love a little pampering time to time. That’s what socialite and glamnista Marlo Hampton did on Saturday, Oct. 20. She kicked off the weekend with an Aids Awareness Walk in Atlanta and then held her 2nd Annual Glam It Up event at the Marriott Downtown. In conjunction with the Georgia Division of Children and Family Services she had a slumber party themed ‘Girls Retreat’ filled with life lessons, motivational speakers, health tips — and the most important part of the event — hair styling and cosmetic grooming for the girls!
“The reason that I created Glam It Up’ was to give young girls a chance at reaching their dreams, and attaining any level of success that they want. I want to give them the guidance and the chances I didn’t have growing up, and hopefully they will pass it on to the next generation of young women,” says Marlo Hampton
Tai Johnson of Tai Closet Styling House and April Smith of Butterfly Cosmetics both joined forces with Glam It Up to provide beauty products and help with beauty needs. Check out the fun pictures and congratulations to Marlo Hampton for a successful event.
