MIAMI BEACH, Fla.
— The 2012 Association of National Advertisers Multicultural Marketing and Diversity Conference 2012 at the Fountainebleau in famed South Beach brought media companies and corporations from around the country to develop ways to improve inclusion in the marketplace.

Sponsored by the McCann Group, this year’s theme was “Create a Cultural Connection,” which is designed to create additional and lasting connections between mainstream multinational corporations and minority media and marketing companies that provide invaluable information to the African American, Hispanic, Asian, Native American and other ethnic communities in America.

The apex of the conference was the 12th annual Multicultural Excellence Awards, which recognized the year’s most dynamic and transcendent multicultural advertising that we saw on television, listened to on the radio or read in print. The awards were created to raise awareness and exposure of the award-worthy work being churned out with great frequency in multicultural advertising.
