Fabolous fans got a revealing peek into his love life when longtime girlfriend, Emily Bustamante, pushed their relationship into the limelight when she starred on “Love & Hip Hop.” Though the couple experienced rough patches, including a breakup, on the show, they rekindled their romance and have been going strong for months now. But, for fans hoping that Fab and Bustamante will tie the knot, Fab says that he doesn’t have any plans to walk down the aisle any time soon.
During a recent interview on the “The Combat Jack Show,” Fab talked about his relationship with Bustamante, and though he claims that “LAHH” dramatized his relationship during a rough patch, he says that he and Bustamante are doing well together.
“Me and Emily are good, we are in a great place; we are raising a little boy together,” said Fab.
However, just because things are going great between them, doesn’t mean that Fab wants to get married.
“I don’t think marriage is in the future for me right now, man, I really don’t,” Fab admitted. “The thing about marriage is that I believe in it and don’t believe in it. I think people put that ring and that paper and it messes up a good thing sometimes.”
While many might question Fab’s hesitation to get married, he cites hip-hop power couple Jay-Z and Beyonce as an example that chose well in waiting to tie the knot.
“Jay is 40 years old, and he waited until he felt it was right. Even when they first got together, it wasn’t a public thing,” Fabolous argued. “They just made sure their base was strong before they made it public and I think that’s the kind of thing you have to do in a relationship.”
